  I rode the DRL coach service in October 2017 from the ferry terminal at Port-aux-Basques all the way to St. John's, NL. The bus showed up on time, and there were only three passengers, the hostess, and the driver at the start of the trip. We picked up passengers all along the way, and it was nearly full by St. John's, where we arrived on-time!

  The service was friendly (you buy your ticket on board; cash-only!), and stops were made several times along the way where you could buy food or use the WC. The seats were comfortable, and the hostess even arrange a taxi for us before arrival in St. John's.

  The scenery was spectacular. What an introduction to Newfoundland! I can highly recommend the DRL Coach service across the island.

  Doyle's to Deer Lake. Late. Bus was freezing cold starting from Doyle's. Driver did not show up on time, 'hostess' was a joke - neither friendly nor helpful re explaining stops. Also, said 'hostess' was constantly talking to the driver which was both annoying and distracting. The trip was long and painful. Took over an hour for the bus to 'warm up' and it never really was 'warm' No apology for being late. No discount. No communication re stops or breaks. Ridiculous that the bus drives right into Stephenville. They should have a cab meet the bus at the Hwy and take the passengers in. Totally inconvenienced and late as a result of this ridiculous stop. Would never take this again. 4+ hours for the trip and zero 'friendly' Newfoundland to be found on board from start to finish.

  Nice bus from Port aux Basque to St. John's. Be aware that it's a cash only service - you pay the hostess on the bus. She collects the money while the driver gets the bus down the road. Friendly service. Refreshments on board.

  Not a bad experience. Should have barf bag options for those who get motion sick. Nice people and nice prices. Would highly recommend.
